I believe that mentoring programs in all African American and minority communities are a vital means at fertilizing the minds of todays youth. The adage rings true, that "it takes a village to raise a community". Most men, women and children living in disadvantaged environments are always in need of life coaching, espessially those raised in broken homes. A mentoring program like Changing The Game is neccessary because my research of it proves that its a future non-profit with a purpose of: raising community awairness, supporting adult and child literacy, building the youth into positive crytical thinkers and it has an overall objective of creating employment oppertunities, whereas, productivety becomes the newest mean for sustainable living, for our youth who are at most times targets of America's inner-city judicial system. AS a resident of the North East Bronx, I believe that an effective mentorship program like Changing The Game, in my community could become a realistic antidote to the many ills that are cripling our youth, by hindering them from becoming stand up productive citezens. - Tyrone Jenkins
